2018 Auto Expo will see the all-electric- Emflux ONE

Emflux Motors, an Indian start-up based in Bengaluru, is all set to surprise the automotive industry across the globe with India’s first all-electric Superbike – Emflux ONE. The Emflux ONE will make its debut at the 2018 Auto Expo which will be held at Greater Noida from February 9 to February 14.

Emflux Motors was found by Mr. Varun Mittal in 2016 who believed that electric technology holds the potential to be the next big thing in near future and the same could be harnessed to run motorcycles. It is really amazing that where Emflux motors aims to empower 10 Million electric two wheeler’s in India by 2027 in a scenario where Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) and Government of India still find doing the same by 2030 to be over ambitious. The launch of Emflux ONE is going to be one proud and unforgettable milestone in the history of Indian automotive Industry.

The bike will be powered by Innovative Liquid cooled AC induction motor boasting 67 PS peak power and 84 Nm maximum torque @ 8400 rpm which gets its power from High Quality Samsung SDi cells that ensure a riding range of 200 kilometers (in city). The performance stats sound promising as the company claims that the bike can do a top-speed of 170 kmph (200 kmph on controlled track riding) and accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in mere 3.5 seconds. The bike gets advanced Ohlins suspensions and dual channel ABS by Continental coupled with Brembo brakes. That’s not all!! The bike is loaded with features and high end components. The bike gets 7″ touch TFT Display (which indicates GPS navigation, Real time vehicle diagnostics, Auto updates, Mobile App, Bike to Bike Connectivity), single sided swing arm, regenerative braking system, etc.

The Emflux ONE is expected to be priced between INR 5,00,000 to INR 6,00,000. It will be great to see how this motorcycle takes on its competitors in the 650 cc segment like Honda CBR650F, Ninja 650, Benelli TNT600i, Hyosung GT650R, Triumph Street Triple & Daytona 675, etc. There have been a few ambitious electric bike projects in the past like Mission Electric (which failed miserably in initial days) as well as the Lightening LS 218 which increase the curiosity among motorcycle enthusiasts about the Emflux ONE.
