2018 BMW G 310 GS India launch: Price & Technical Details

BMW Motorrad has finally launched the adventure tourer – BMW G 310 GS and the price is almost the same as we had speculated in our previous article on bookings. The BMW G 310 GS is priced at INR 3,49,000 i.e. exactly INR 50,000 costlier than its naked sibling BMW G 310 R. The design of BMW G 310 GS derives traits from the bigger siblings of the adventure series of the BMW Motorrad. It will powered by the same engine as the BMW G 310 R. Just like the street fighter BMW G 310 R, the G 310 GS can do a top speed of 143 kmph and also shares most of its parts with the G 310 R including chassis. The BMW G 310 GS comes in 3 color schemes as can be seen in the following pic.
The G 310 GS will face heavy competition from Hero Xpulse 200 (INR 1,10,000; expected), KTM 390 Adventure (INR 2,40,000; expected) and most importantly Royal Enfield Himalayan (INR 1,70,000). Even though it is the cheapest adventure tourer from the German manufacturer, it is quite pricey compared to other motorcycles that are currently or soon to be introduced in the Indian market. It would be interesting to see how well the BMW G 310 GS performs in the market.
We are trying to get our hands on the bike so that we can bring you the BMW G 310 GS review / first ride impression at earliest. For now, let’s take a look at the BMW G 310 GS specs:
